Neck Pain

Everyone who has suffered from neck pain understands the limits it can place on one’s life.  Because Chiropractic specializes on issues of the spine, Chiropractic has long been identified as the field of medicine most qualified to relieve both minor and severe neck pain.

You may be suffering neck pain as a result of a whiplash injury from an automobile accident or fall.  Or, you may complain of pain in your neck from sitting in front of a computer all day, lifting heavy objects, or even picking up a child!

Any neck injury must be taken seriously and closely evaluated.  Even "minor" injuries can cause "major" problems when it comes to your neck.  Unfortunately, traditional methods of treating neck pain don't always get to the root of the problem.  You may have been told before that you should "take two aspirin" and take it easy for a while.

However, inactivity can actually cause further injury to your neck, because your muscles begin to weaken when you don't use them.  You may actually be making your neck problem worse by "babying" it!

The Role of Chiropractic Care

The approach of Chiropractic toward back pain is gentle, but aggressive.  Removing symptoms is not enough.  Chiropractic focuses on locating the origin of the pain with the singular goal of permanently removing the source of pain.

A study published in The Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics in 1995, found Chiropractic more effective than using Acetaminophen!!  Patient's who received chiropractic care reported greater improvement in neck pain, strength and range of motion as compared to those patients taking Acetominophen.

The results are clear!  Chiropractic is a highly effective treatment for neck pain!

Every patient's condition is different, so the first step toward treating neck pain is making an initial visit for a full Chiropractic exam.  Once the cause(s) of the pain is determined, treatment options can then be considered.

Chiropractic doesn't settle for masking pain.  Chiropractic's goal is to remove the root cause of the pain.  Isn't that your goal?
